Litha Kanda

Litha Kanda was born in 1998, in a small village in Mtata, Eastern Cape. He grew up in Thokoza. He was introduced to photography through the Of Soul and Joy project at Buhlebuzile Secondary School in grade 11 funded by Rubis Mecenant cultural fund. He studied at Market Photo Workshop and completed in 2019.

His work was exhibited in the 2016 Of Soul and Joy Photo Festival edition 2 and in the group exhibition Place of Peace at the Stop Sign Art Gallery showcasing the work of the OSJ collective in 2018, and also exhibited in the 2019 Of Soul and Joy Photo Fest edition 3.

In October 2019, Nzwana was but of a group exhibition in Thokoza Photo Festival, through the Of Soul and Joy Photo Project. In July 2020 Nzwana was also a part of group exhibition in France, Arles through the Of Soul and Joy Photo Project, Rubis Mecenat and the Easigas.
