Of Soul and Joy presents uHambo, a group show featuring the new work of 9 photographers on the occasion of the 10 years anniversary of the Of Soul and Joy photography project.

The concept of time in this exhibition is explored by including works from the alumni students and present -day students. This collaboration is crucial in reflecting how the Of Soul and Joy project itself has grown, but moreover the conversation that is quite evident is the bouncing back of narratives between one another with hopes of reflecting the times. However, the narratives presented cannot function alone from the subjective gaze of the photographer, that in itself adds another complex layer to the work. Ironically the hidden conversation can also be diverted into an exploration of photography as a medium, as a marker of time.
